Continuous Assessment

Continuous assessment provides teachers and students the feedback required to maximize learner outcomes. Observations, products and conversations provide evidence that informs instruction. Pre-assessments, formative and summative assessments interconnect to provide the best information possible on the learning process.

Assessment has more to do with helping students grow than cataloguing their mistakes.

Preassessment:

Preassessment of readiness, interest and learning preferences is a necessary component of differentiation. without it there is good chance that instruction will continue to be delivered as a "one size fits all" approach. You must systematically gather and utilize information about individual students to make instructional decisions about students strengths and needs.
